What was the task you were assigned?
The task we were assigned was to create our own audition for the radio 1 breakfast show.
Who was in your group and what was everyone's role in the task?
I was in a group with Kia and Imogen. Kia was the radio host while Imogen done the news and weather. I was the celebrity that was interviewed.
What fresh ideas did you bring to the programme?
We introduced a new game to the programme were someone from the public would call in and say a story. The celebrity would then have to guess whether that story was real or fake.
Who did you interview?
We interviewed Harry Styles as he is a British celebrity who has released a new song.
What tracks did you choose and why?
We chose falling by Harry Styles as it is by a British artist and high in the charts.
What was the running order?
We started off with the producer introducing the show. We then went onto the song falling by Harry Styles. After this we had the interview with Harry styles and the game were a celebrity called in. Finally we finished with the news.
Who is your target audience?
Our target audience was the same as the radio 1 breakfast show. So this was people between the age of 15-29 year old.
How did you attract your audience?
To attract our audience we made the game something they would enjoy and also had the song be one they liked and the song was also in the charts.
How does your product fit in with the BBC PSB remit?
Our product fitted in with the PSB remit as it entertained and also informed. It also featured people from all over the country to make it appeal to a wide audience. It also focused on British talent (Harry Styles).
What do you think you could have improved in terms of content?
To improve the content I think we could have a slightly longer interview with the celebrity and we could have been more enthusiastic on the recording.
What was your initial feedback? What did others say about your production?
Our initial feedback was that the production was quite good but could have been a bit louder and more enthusiastic.
Identify what went well and with hindsight would could have been done differently?
The transitions between audio clips were really good. In hindsight to improve I would have made it much louder as it was hard to hear what people were saying and it was hard to hear the music, including the background music.

Daily mail frontcover

1) Our task is to make a daily mail front cover, the target audience was for an older middle aged person.

2)For research I looked at different conventional Daily Mail front covers. They typically feature a story about the royals and feature advertisement for prizes inside the Daily Mail. It uses sans serif font.
3)   This was the front cover i used for inspiration.
4) The most challenging area was finding the right font and making sure that there were no spaces on the page.
5) My feedback was to make sure that there was no white spaces on the page. It was also to fill out the top header more as there was a lot of spaces.
6) I think the layout, picture sizes and colouring of the front cover went well. To improve I would fill out the gaps on the page. I would try and find a more accurate font. I would also fill out the top header more so there is not as many spaces in it.

Active Advert

The advert overall is good as it appeals to the target audience of a ten year old boy who wants a body spray. It also uses different angles and frames to capture the different shots. It also uses different music to capture the correct mood. It also shows the product so the audience can remember it.

To improve the advert the shots could have been filmed as one continuous shot or in the same position as between the shots the cuts look bad as the background changes. We could also use voice over to explain the story. I also could have used different songs that go together better. I think to improve this we could have storyboard the advert better so it was better planned.

Fruitella advert

The advert is good as it matches up with the timing of the original fruitella advert. Most of the shots are the same.overall To improve the advert we need to get the missing shot of the newspaper. Also a few of the shots are not identical to the original with close up in the original advert being a longshot in ours. As well the video was filmed in lots of different rooms so sometimes the cuts looked bad as the background changed.
